Can you handle the cabinet layout and design for us?

Direct Answer

No, Cabo Cabinet Group does not provide cabinet layout or design services. We manufacture to your exact specification. You supply the fully detailed cabinet list with dimensions, door styles, finishes, and hardware selections. We build precisely what you specify, box it with your branding, and deliver it to your job site. This is a pure manufacturing relationship. You own the design, the layout, the customer relationship, and the finished product that arrives under your name.

The cabinet list must be complete before production begins. That means every cabinet identified by size, configuration, door count, hinge hand, finish code, and any modification. If you work with a kitchen designer, a dealer design team, or your own drafting department, they prepare that specification. Cabo receives it, confirms feasibility, quotes the run, and manufactures when you approve. We do not generate floor plans, do not measure job sites, and do not advise on cabinet placement or aesthetic choices.

Why It Matters

This structure keeps Cabo focused on what we do at volume and at speed: manufacturing cabinets. A 700,000 square foot factory building 8,000 apartment units of cabinetry a month, roughly 200 shipping containers, runs on precision and repetition. Design is iterative, subjective, and time intensive. Manufacturing is systematic. Separating the two allows us to hit a 30 day production cycle and under 7 day land delivery once your spec is locked.

It also clarifies accountability. You control the design, so you control changes, client approvals, and coordination with other trades. When cabinets arrive branded with your name on every box, you are the manufacturer of record in your customer's eyes. That brand ownership starts with design ownership. If we designed the layout, we would own the customer relationship. That is not the partnership model. You specify, we build, you deliver under your brand.

How It Works

The process begins when you submit a cabinet list. That list typically comes from design software, a detailed quote sheet, or a manual takeoff. It includes each cabinet's width, height, depth, box type (framed or frameless), door style (shaker, slim shaker, slab, or thermofoil), finish (paint color or stain), and whether the unit ships RTA or assembled. Soft close hardware is standard. A unit generally runs 6 to 40 cabinets depending on project size.

Cabo reviews the list for manufacturing feasibility. We confirm that dimensions fall within our capability, that finish selections match available options, and that quantities align with our container loading. If something cannot be built as drawn, we flag it immediately. You make the decision on how to adjust. Once the spec is confirmed and the quote approved, production begins. About 30 days later, cabinets ship. Total timeline from confirmed spec to cabinets on your job site is roughly five weeks by land. Asia adds 45 to 90 days of ocean transit for comparison.

What to Have Ready Before You Contact Cabo

A complete cabinet list with all dimensions and finishes defined. If you are quoting a project and need to know cost before final design, provide a preliminary count and typical unit mix. Cabo can quote based on average cabinet counts for similar projects, but that quote will be refined once the actual list is final.

Elevation drawings or cut sheets help but are not required if your list is detailed. What matters is clarity: each cabinet specified unambiguously so there is no interpretation required during production. Any ambiguity delays the timeline because we will ask for clarification rather than assume.

If you do not have in house design capability and need a referral to a designer or dealer who can prepare the specification, ask your Cabo contact. We know which partners in the trade handle design and layout for the projects we manufacture. That introduction connects you to the resource you need while keeping the manufacturing and design functions properly separated.
